Synopsis

Georgia Hale doesn't write to be liked. She writes to be right. A scholarship freshman with a borrowed bag and a recorder she keeps switched off, she's been handed one impossible shot: find the artist behind the mural that has the whole campus talking, or watch her byline go to the boy who's been waiting for her to fail. The deadline is Friday. The dean wants a name. And Georgia has built her entire life on the talent of watching people without ever letting them watch her back.

Then she walks into Studio 314 and meets Rivers Kane.

He answers questions with questions. He turns her interview inside out. He sees her the way she's spent eighteen years refusing to be seen. The closer she gets to the truth, the harder it becomes to tell whether she's chasing a story or falling into one.

Some people guard their secrets. Rivers makes her want to keep his. A slow-burn collision of ambition and longing, where the line between observer and obsession blurs one quiet sentence at a time.
